After an overload of yuri, needed to take a break. :p
Fate / Unlimited Codes, a 3D fighter, came out 12/18/2008 for the PS2.
It’s in arcades too. The graphics aren’t that great but it’s fun to see everyone’s special attacks.
I saw ads for the limited edition which comes with a figure of Saber in white armor, but I didn’t think it was worth it.
Well, I’m just button mashing cause I suck at fighting games.
If anyone has a good tip to improve besides “practice”, let me know.
You can also get Black Saber and one of Ilya’s maids.
Nothing better than beating up on Gil with Saber + Excalibur
I still like Gil though. He’s (overly) arrogant but he’s got the skills to back it up.
Having Gate of Babylon also helps.

The background with the spinning gears is really cool. Sort of like Salvador Dali’s melting clocks?
I don’t know how you’d pull off UBW in a real match. You have to chant 6 times, then have a full SP meter to unleash it…
Rin’s classmate also shows up. (Seems even more violent than Rin). Why are the blonds always wrestlers…like R.Mika from King of Fighters?
Does Rin’s SP move look a bit like Aoko’s from Melty Blood?
She also has the Jeweled Sword Zeltrech as her EX move
Bazette also joins though she’s reluctant to fight Lancer. He’s actually a pretty nice guy.
Of course, she has Fragarach. She only has 3 per match though.
Gotta love Rider’s eyes.
Shiro doesn’t have his UBW, but he does have Nine Lives.
Rin’s hilarious in her ending. She decides that since Archer’s useless, she shrinks him as punishment.
After getting the Holy Grail, she decides to aim for a majical shoujo girl next and says she already has a mascot, chibi-Archer. Archer replies that he wishes the grail were broken instead.
Well, as a Rin x Saber fan, maybe the following has slight, yuri (?) overtones?
During Rin’s battle with Saber:
Saber: No matter how much we are enemies, to fight you alone is against the Way of the Knight!
Rin: Geez. You’re stubborn as always, Saber.
Rin: Ah…ok, ok. If Saber drops her guard I might be able to get a point on her.
Rin: In exchange… If I win, Saber will become my servant starting today!
After Rin wins:
Rin: Yes! A complete victory! As promised Saber, you now belong to me.

Finnaly… i get this game xD but…. the combo`s rather hard (i used to play melty blood so, it`s kinda off feeling when i play Fate / Unlimited Codes xD)
Oh…yah, I’m horrible at Melty Blood.
The only person I can use is Nanaya.
As for Fate, I can’t pass any of the missions that require you to use combos… =(

Geez… *sigh* I wish they would make a PC version of this. I really want to play this game. Sadly I have no PS2 to play with it.
Anyways, nice to see a yuri-ish moment there between Saber x Rin! XD Was wondering if they are canon or not. But maybe I’ll find out when I get to finish the visual novel. ^^ Or maybe not… ;P
How I wish there would be more of Saber x Rin. I’m really loving the pairing! Which is why it got me into trying the visual novel just now. XDD Welcome me to 2004! XD
There’s a PSP version now, but I think you mentioned you didnt’ have a PSP either.
Nope, I Saber x Rin aren’t canon but one can always imagine, though they do get pretty close in the Unlimited Blade Works route if you’ve gotten there.
Glad you’re enjoying the visual novel, it is one of the ones I really liked, and I don’t play many of them. =)
On yah, there a new game for PSP soon, Fate Extra, which will allow you to play as a male or female protagonist and choose your Servant. So yuri possiblities may exist. =)

Oh I thought they were. lol! But you’re right anyways. As expected from a visual novel. Also I haven’t got there in Unlimited Blade Works yet. I’m still tooooo far away from there. I’m still at 2/8 where Shirou is training with Rin about magic.
Was hoping to finish the main game cause I’m excited, especially hearing that UBW is really amazing. Sadly I got spoiled about Shirou->Archer mainly because of some forums I went to. I was just curious a bit about Rin x Saber so I went reading a few forum posts.
So you don’t play much visual novels?! I thought you do play a lot though. XD Well I am pretty much the same anyways since I don’t get much time myself to play. And yeah I do enjoy the visual novel. It’s just exciting to see what happens next.
Uwaa~ Even though I don’t have a PSP, I sure am excited about that Fate Extra! I thought it already came out. lol! Surely it seems interesting that there might be possible yurilicious moments. In case you get your hands on it I hope you could post some yuri moments if there will ever be one.

I don’t know if it’s just me but I’m sensing Rin x Sakura as well especially from the anime. Though I’m still at episode 11 so far. It’s just Sakura’s reaction towards Rin when they meet is… I don’t know. Just can’t explain it.

As for the anime, a lot was cut out so it might be a little confusing.
There’s another reason why Sakura acts that way towards Rin. =)
As for Rin x Sakura, there’s some doujin but that’s about it.
I actually haven’t seen a pure yuri one, some futa ones I’ve seen though.

Yeah I did notice lots of cut out. If I haven’t played the game itself, I would have understood almost nothing.
I watched the first episode first before I played the visual novel and only I understood the most parts there.
Also yeah I did feel there’s a reason why Sakura’s acting that way to Rin. Just that I am yet to find it out. ;P
By the way, when do the H-scenes come out on Fate/Stay Night VN? Not that I’m looking forward to it, it’s just that I won’t be able to play if my parents are here so I am being cautious. I’m already at 2/10 (the part where I’m tied up in a chair at Ilya’s room) and still haven’t encountered one. Hopefully you could still remember which day it is for me to be aware.
Also, the original VN don’t have characters’ voices right? Just asked cause I have this F/SN Realta Nua voice patch patched unto the original F/SN, and I don’t know if it is affecting the scenes of the original-released story. Sorry for asking too much… ;_;

I believe one comes right after the scene you mentioned where you’ve been captured by Ilya.
Yes, the original VN did not have voice overs.
I don’t believe adding voice overs from Realta changes anything.
The ecchi scenes in the PS2 version were changed to be safe for all ages so the only thing in the original visual novel you’ll be missing is no voice overs on the ecchi scenes.
Also, I believe Realta Nua had a good ending for Saber too, though I rather liked the original ending since it was very poignant. =)
Oh yeah even before I saw your reply I unexpectedly encountered it. O_O Good thing my parents weren’t here when I played that part. I thought it was still a bit further away. XD
You’re right about the voices and realta nua. When the H-scenes were about to come and even ongoing, there weren’t any voices at all until it finished. They don’t plan on voicing over the ecchi version right? But it’s interesting to hear Saber’s voice there knowing her character. XD
And wow… Rin x Saber scene is totally hot! I wish for more yuri but there might not be anymore. ^^
Oh ok. Looking forward to that ending shijima! I’m curious to know why. But I’ll leave it for now.
