“A wind carries your scent
To those who will find you out…”
(Neurosis)

Some people say that smell is the most trustworthy of our senses… will it hold true for our heroines, though? The art in this sweet little one-shot is very neat in my opinion, it has just the right amount of ecchi, and overall I liked the mood a lot. Plus it’s kinda heartwarming, and evenings have been getting colder and colder lately… Took a little longer than expected mostly due to school – and various FPP games that I was finally able to play… Thanks a lot to Yamibo, as well as Do and balticbard, for the raws.
Edit: Okay, looks like this has been released yesterday by someone else. Well, not the first and perhaps not the last time something like this has happened to me… but I think this time I can safely recommend my version. ^-^;
Otherwise, nothing special to say here… well, guess I could ramble about some of the (old) games I’ve played recently, or my impressions on Linux Mint, but who’s interested in that? And I really ought to get some sleep… maybe some other time. Anyways, more stuff hopefully sooner than later.
Amazing, but one major flaw. This doujin was way too short. It kind of stopped right when it got interesting, and by that I don’t mean it needed a sex scene, no. What I’am talking about is I would’ve liked to hear some more of that conversation before it was cut off… nonetheless I enjoyed it, and I have to say that I like this author.
Thanks as always.
Hmm. I’m curious: On page 12, Yurizoku translated the line as “without regard to gender”, but you translated it as “it isn’t really sexual”, meaning – as I assume – she’s saying her attraction isn’t sexual in nature.
Is that really the meaning? If so, it’s a bit disappointing.
@risingstar3110:
You’re welcome.
@balticbard:
Hehe, I guess some sex would be nice, seeing that the art is good. ^-^
@Anonymous:
Well, I’m not an expert, so I won’t argue… I’m pretty sure my tablet never really worked out of the box in Debian, even with the good driver, but it might be an issue of KDE vs. GNOME as well. :p
@Watchman:
Yeah, now that you mention it, indeed it looks similar. In my humble opinion, it’s nice that the heroine in this story didn’t agonize too much over her feelings, for a change – and the development seemed pretty much plausible to me. ^-^
@cool&spicy:
I for one am not a particular fan of schoolgirl romance, but I guess a good story works for me regardless of the setting!
@zombiegirl, Ukechan:
You’re welcome!
@SCKing:
Well, there is always your imagination? But yeah, the story sure could have continued on for a while longer.
@Cryssoberyl:
The exact meaning was:
無性 【むせい】 (n,adj-no) asexual; ED
In other words, “not sexual”. What you make of it depends on what you understand by “sexual”…
I think Winterbraid is correct on the translation of 無性 as in “not sexual”.
Regardless, this is a very nice piece of work! Thanks for the hard work with the translation/editing, Winterbraid! This has to be amongst my favourite (if not my most favourite) yuri stories.
So I got the other people’s one before I got yours….wow once again proved that you rock!
Uhooo i like this one <3 If the name of character get change to Sawako and Kurumi is be perfect 100% Kimi ni Todoke Doujinshi, And yah i love Kurumi x Sawako pairing in Kimi ni Todoke ;D wahahaha *slap*
oooooh, that was really cute<3 thank you for this one!^^
@Winterbraid: Imagination? How dare you. If I had that I wouldn’t be reading manga/doujinshi! =p
The power of pheremones! Hee hee hee. Loved this release.
What’s your opinion on Linux Mint? I just recently jumped onto the Linux bandwagon with Ubuntu.
@Rajal:
Well, from what I gather, Mint is somewhat of a mod of Ubuntu, with some extra media codecs and stuff; the default GUI is very pretty in my opinion, but otherwise the overall experience should be similar. Ubuntu in turn derives from Debian, which is like the big mommy of distributions. ^-^;
A bit of a slowpoke but thanks a lot for this oneshot.
This is one of my favourite stories in a long while.
Sup guys!
Interesting doujin.. Anyways, just wanted to say that I’m free of school for about 3 weeks now so yeah, start shootin’ some doujins at me for editing..
@zeDaBdan:
If you had mentioned it earlier, I would have asked you to help with ViVid – but I already finished the editing, so yeah. (Unless you want to do all the SFX, of course.) ^-^;
Have you seen any interesting doujins on /u/ or wherever recently? If not, I guess I’ll try to dig something up in my Touhou folder…
Hehe, lucky you; I still have two days to go, and only about two weeks of vacation.
You can decide what I should work on, haven’t really had that much time to lurk in /u/ for potential projects..
Read both versions. Reminded me of why I visit at least once a day and love the translations you do. Great work and nice release!
Wow, very sweet one shot. The problem with smells is that certain smells just can’t seem to be recreated for later “use” or recall. Three of the girls I’d been attracted to in the past had very distinct, beautiful fragrances not from perfume that seemed so strong that if one of them were nearby, I could identify them from a gust of wind in my direction. I did find out what one shampoo one of them uses, but it doesn’t fully recreate “her” smell (probably due to her natural scent not being there).
I’ve heard and throughly agree that smells and music are very strong triggers for memory. They can make you recall good and bad memories by association.
Tenkaichi
woo~~ I was hoping for someone that could translate this mangá. Thank you, everyone!
I didn’t realized you already translated this, Winterbraid, stupid me. Thanks and have a happy new year.
Well, this is already X months late, but…
A reaction to this post (the asexual part)
Since you used the word “sexual”, instead of asexual, it gave a much much broader meaning than what the original Japanese text had. At least from my view. Most of the time I’ve seen 性, it’s used as sex with the meaning “division of organisms according to their reproductive organs”. And for humans, gender presents a much clearer meaning to that.
tl;dr = You’re right. Just that there’s a better way of doing it.
Hehe, I don’t really remember anymore what this was about. So, care to reveal what that better way would be? ^-^
